Dennis Shepherd
Dennis Shepherd, 68, Larned, formerly of Hays, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 15, 1941, in Great Bend to Glenn Lewis and Mary Marcella (Johnson) Shepherd. He was a graduate of Russell High School and a 1963 graduate of Fort Hays State College.
He was a CPA and worked for Price-Waterhouse, Armour Steel Co., Koch Industries and Mallinkrodt Chemicals. He lived in Kansas City, Mo., St. Louis, Wichita and Hays, and moved to Larned in 2002. He attended the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Todd Shepherd and wife, Tina, Hutchinson, Michael Shepherd and wife, Janet, Miami.; his mother, Merriam; a brother, Roger Shepherd, Merriam; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601. A private family inurnment will be at a later date in Copeland.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
