Donald Richard Mohl

Don was born Mar. 18, 1941 at Hoisington to Lawrence & Ruby Mohl.  He lived nearly all his life in or near Russell.  He was a 6' 3" athlete at R.H.S. excelling in basketball and track.  He was electrocuted June 10, 1958 while helping his father move a granary from Timken to Olmitz.  They were within 50 feet of their destination when Don evidently slipped from the top of the building where he was making sure that telephone lines were cleared, and grabbed a power line.  There was a deep burn on his left hand & death was apparently instantaneous.  A Hoisington physician was unable to revive him.
