Jean Kay was born Mar. 9, 1941 in Kirksville, MO to John & Grace Kennedy. On July 19, 1959, she married Larry D. Michaelis in Hays. She was the exec. dir. of the Rice Co. Council on Aging; formerly exec.dir. of Lyons Sr. Center; PTA president; Sunday school teacher; member of Republican Women of Rice Co.; Governor’s Info & Referral Task Force; Older Ks. Info. & Ref. Sys.; & Nat’l Council on Aging.

She is survived by mother, Grace; daughters Michelle, Andrea, & Jennifer; sons Chris and Josh; bro. Dr. Jim Kennedy, DVM; grandchildren Zachary & Hannah. Memorials to Rice Co. on Aging, First Baptist Church, Lyons, or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
