Kent Allen Bachar, 63, Dorrance, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Medicine Lodge Hospital, Medicine Lodge.  He was born Aug. 30, 1941, in Russell to Paul Milford and Nenah Bell (Stephens) Bachar. He graduated from Russell High School in 1959. He began working as a young man in the oil fields and also had an 11 yr career with the railroad. He owned and operated his own dump truck service. He had sub-contracted with Venture Copr. of Gt. Bend for many years.  He lived in WaKeeney and Hays for several years before moving to Dorrance (where he lived the past 13 years).  He married Carol Michel. They were divorced. He married Janet J. Rodrigues on Nov. 20, 1994, at Bullhead City, Ariz.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; twin sons, Michael Bachar, Hays, and Matthew Bachar, Schoenchen; a stepson, Jon Johnson, Dorrance; a daughter, Lori Hutchison, Paradise; a stepdaughter, Dreama Poudel, Russell; his mother and step-father, Nenah and Jess Hummel, Russell; a brother, James Bachar, Virginia, Ill.; a sister, Pauline Berry, Talala, Okla.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

Services of remembrance will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Apr.16, 2005 at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Russell with Rev. Earl J. Haggard officiating; burial in Russell City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, Russell.
