Rogene was born Sept. 7, 1941 in Russell to  Wm. F. and Martha Wright.  She attended Russell High School through her Sophomore year.  Her family moved, so she finished school in Burden and graduated from Burden High School, then moved to Wichita in 1961.   She was employed by Fidelity Investment at the time of her death.  

She died July 12, 1989 at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.  Her only survivor is her sister, Delayne Rigby.  

She is buried beside her parents in the Burden Cemetary in Burden, KS.  A memorial was established with the American Heart Association.
