Wichita – Jerry Lavern Koksal, died Nov. 8, 2004, in Wichita, at the age of 63.

            The son of Aldrich and Helen Koksal, he was born June 21, 1941, in Luray.  He grew up in the Russell County area.  He served in the United States Army.  He worked as a master carpenter and decorator in the Wichita area.  He was an avid golfer. 

            Survivors include:  wife, Leigh Ann Koksal, Wichita; parents, Aldrich and Helen Koksal, Russell; two brothers, Jim, wife Geraldine, St. Louis, Mo.; and Ron, wife Judy, Knoxville, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Bob Hughey, Rachel Hughey, and Donna and Larry Peterson, all of Wichita; and a host of nieces and nephews.

            Memorial services were held recently in Wichita, and private family inurnment services were held later, on Nov. 15, 2004 at the Russell City Cemetery, with Rev. Henry J. Hartman officiating. 

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Junior Golf Foundation, Wichita, and maybe be sent in care of Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, Russell. Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, Russell, was in charge of the arrangements. Pub. in the Nov. 29, 2004 Russell Co. News.
